Well, this is an embarrassment. I saved this post October 2018. I think it is my parody of the type of Bible “study” I see being done, but I honestly don’t know if it’s that or I am passing on one I found. I did a Google search and found something like this but not this. So while it is an example of a Bible Study that is neither studious or Biblical, I’m not sure who gets the credit or discredit as the case may be.

As Jesus showed us the secret to overcoming the Evil One using the Book of Deuteronomy, so this ancient book also contains the secret to lengthening your days on earth.
Step One: Have Regard for Authority
Deuteronomy 5:16
16 Honor your father and your mother, as the Lord your God has commanded you, that your days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with you on the land which the Lord your God gives you.
Step Two: Have Regard for God’s Creatures Great and Small
Deuteronomy 22:7
7 you shall certainly let the mother go, but the young you may take for yourself, in order that it may be well with you, and that you may prolong your days.
Step Three: Have Regard for Just Business Practices
Deuteronomy 25:15
15 “You shall have a full and just weight; you shall have a full and just measure, that your days may be prolonged in the land which the Lord your God gives you.
If this is the kind of Bible Study you’ve been getting, at best you’re in a class that turns on “how to” rather than on what Jesus did for you. At worse, you’re sitting at the feet of one who thinks lengthening your days here is a prime objective of Christianity.
